Our Mission

As men from all experiences and walks through this life, it is important to set aside a place and time to come together in The Holy Spirit. As brothers in Christ, we need a means to fulfill our obligation in the Body to support one another, to encourage one another, and to think through the path forward as we run together towards God's promises. Hebrews 10:24-25

Why This Need

Our efforts began by recognizing the importance of ministry for transitioning inmates who need help with "exit strategies" as they leave behind the daily worship opportunities available in prison. These experiences are not easily accessible outside of prison, and ExandUs seeks to assist. Our group hosts a weekly "Re-entry Transition Gathering" church service in the Oklahoma City area, run by and for former inmates. We understand the specific needs related to employment, housing, and daily life, and offer assistance and coordination, including financial support. ExandUs has established partnerships with several local OKC churches, facilitating one-to-one discipleship and accountability, and helping individuals integrate into the Body of Christ. Prison chaplain recommendations are crucial for identifying individuals genuinely seeking to transition their Christian walk, and we work closely with recommended individuals to ensure their successful integration into the local Christian community.

Why ExandUs

ExandUs collaborates closely with chaplains in various prisons across the state, identifying individuals dedicated to God's work, with renewed minds and a desire to serve Christ. Through chaplain recommendations, we offer mental, physical, spiritual, emotional, and financial support as needed. We provide recommendations and assistance in securing living arrangements, employment, and transportation through various contacts with housing and employment agencies. ExandUs has initiated a new church plant in Oklahoma City called Re-entry Transition Gathering (RTG), meeting on Friday nights at 6:00 PM for Bible study and 7:00 PM for worship, OPEN TO ANYONE, with a focus on men who have been incarcerated. With our 501c3 status approved, we are swiftly progressing towards establishing our own ExandUs housing, offering temporary short-term lodging for chaplain-recommended men to aid in stabilizing their transition process.

Men encouraging one another in Christ, to move forward.
